  1. Motel check-in time is 3pm, check-out time is 10am.

  2. An early check-in and later check-out maybe possible, subject to additional fees and availability.

  3. Photo ID and a valid credit card must be provided to complete the check-in process. A valid credit card is required for minibar purchases and incidentals.

  4. All motel reservations, with the exception of pre-paid accommodation packages, are subject to a 72hour cancellation period, at which time no further date amendments, night reductions, or cancellation is permitted.

  5. A no-show or cancellation of the reservation, within 72hours of 3pm on the arrival day, will result in the forfeit of the accommodation cost.

  6. Our motel is strictly non-smoking, including guest rooms, lobby and grounds. Evidence of smoking in our guest rooms may result in a $200 deep cleaning and deodorising fee.

  7. Our motel is dog friendly. A maximum of one (1) dog must be declared at the time of reservation and dog friendly rooms are subject to a higher nightly room rate. Evidence of undeclared dogs and other pets in our guest rooms may result in eviction from the motel, as well as a $200 deep cleaning and deodorising fee.

  8. Damage to the motel, including assets, furniture, fixtures and linen, may result in a repair or replacement fee.

  9. We respect the comfort of all our guests and have a strict a non-party policy. Noise disruption to other guests is taken seriously and management reserves the right to evict any guests who continue to be overtly loud and disrespectful.

Dog Friendly Terms & Conditions

To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all guests, those guests staying with a dog are subject to the following Motel Flinders Dog Friendly Terms & Conditions:

  1. A strict limit of one (1) dog per room, up to a maximum weight of 30kgs.

  2. Your dog must only stay in one of our allocated ‘dog friendly’ rooms.

  3. Prior to arrival, guests are required to complete a dog waiver form.

  4. Whilst on Motel Flinders grounds, your dog must be kept on a leash at all times.

  5. To minimize potential disturbances, your dog cannot be left unattended in a room.

  6. To maintain the quality and cleanliness of our guest rooms, your dog is prohibited from jumping, sitting, or laying on beds and furniture.

  7. A higher room rate applies at the time of booking for guests bringing their dog.

  8. Your dog must be up to date on vaccinations and free from contagious diseases. Proof of vaccinations may be requested upon check-in.

  9. To maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for all guests, dog owners are responsible for collecting and disposing of their dog’s waste.

  10. Management reserves the right to evict guests with a dog from the premises if they pose a threat to the safety or comfort of Motel Flinders staff or other guests.

FAQs

Q: Are there any restrictions to what type of dogs are allowed?

A: Motel Flinders welcomes all dog breeds within the 30 kilogram weight limit. We do not allow other pets. Dog owners are responsible for ensuring their dog is well-behaved and under control at all times.

Q: Is there a dog fee?

A: There is no additional dog fee, however you will be subject to a higher nightly room rate which covers additonal deep cleaning and deoderising on departure. We want to ensure our rooms are looking tip-top and smelling beautiful for our next guests.

Q: Can I stay in any room category?

A: Our designated dog-friendly rooms are only available in our ground floor, super comfortable King rooms. Dogs are not permitted in our Family, Loft and Premier Family rooms.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of dogs I can bring?

A: Yes, for the comfort and safety of all guests, we allow a maximum of one (1) dog only. If an additional dog is found to be sharing the same room, or if there is evidence of undeclared dogs staying in a guest room, guests will be evicted with no refund of accommodation costs. An additional deep cleaning and deoderising fee may be charged.

Q: Can I leave my dog unattended in the room?

A: No. To minimise potential noise disruption to fellow guests, your dog cannot be left unattended in our guest rooms. Evidence of dogs being left in alone in guest rooms will be investigated. Management reserves the right to evict guests who have left their dog unattended in our guest rooms with no refund of accommodation costs. And besides, your dog is on holiday too and they want to spend every second with their human!

Q: When will my room be cleaned?

A:  For the convenience of our guests, housekeeping services will be provided only when your dog is not present in the room. Please inform the reception desk when you will be leaving the room with your dog so that we can schedule cleaning accordingly.

Q: Are there designated areas for dogs within the motel premises?

A: No, we don’t have designated areas only for dogs. The Motel Flinders grounds, including the BBQ area, are for all to enjoy. Your dog must be kept on a leash or in a carrier while in permitted shared areas.

Q: Is there somewhere to wash my dog?

A:. Yes. Motel Flinders has a designated dog wash area on site to help keep your furry friend clean throughout your stay. You’ll find our dog wash super convenient when returning from a run on the beach.

Q: What if my dog causes damage to the room?

A: Dog owners will be responsible for any damages caused by their dog. Additional charges may apply for repairs or replacements. Please let us know if any damage to a room does occur during your stay. A preauthorization charge of $200 will be placed on your credit card on check-in. The funds will be released at the completion of your stay if there is no damage or excessive mess in the room.
